DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dynamic and polished Director of Major Gifts and Fundraising for our client, a non-profit organization. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating and managing donor relationships, and overseeing gift solicitation, and event planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nonprofit gift solicitation and extensive experience with fundraising databases and CRM software. Candidates Must currently live in The Coachella Valley, have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Director level role, and have a bachelor's degree. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals, including annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, and events
-
Solicit major gifts, member donations, and sponsorship
-
Cultivate and develop strong relationships with individual donors
-
Planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events to enhance visibility and donor engagement
-
Manage campaigns to expand outreach
-
Maintain accurate data collection within databases to track donor interactions, gift history, and campaigns etc.

Collaborate with donors, board members, and staff to cultivate and expand donations
-
Fundraising activities, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective operations
-
Lead fundraising events and campaigns to foster community involvement
-
Professionally represent organization at fundraising events
-
Execute pledge billing and collection
-
Conduct research on potential funding sources and industry best practices to inform strategic planning and Development Department
-
Set and meet fundraising goals and ensure compliance with ethical fundraising practices
-
Maintain high confidentially with sensitive information regarding pledges and estate planning
-
Other duties and responsibilities as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
-
A minimum of 5 years + proven experience in nonprofit development and fundraising leadership roles in non-profit settings
-
Must currently live in The Coachella Valley

MS Office proficient
-
Extensive knowledge of CRM software specifically Tessitura
-
Strong skills in fundraising, marketing, event planning, and events management
-
Excellent donor relationship developing, building, retaining, and management skills
-
Experience with data collection methods for tracking campaign performance and donor engagement metrics
-
Ability to develop strategic plans that align with organizational goals while fostering innovation in fundraising approaches

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong community networking skills
-
Strong attention to detail and extremely accurate
